Cooking F-U-N!!!

The kids had a great time this morning making "jungle sticks". (I had an even better time watching them!) The kids took about 30 minutes to prepare their breakfast....not bad for a 9 and 5 year old! Dipping the sticks in an egg mixture was especially funny to watch. The GROSS, slimy egg whites made the kids think twice about dealing with raw eggs!

Brenden read the recipe to his sister.

First, they cut up bananas and put them in a bowl to use later.

Then they spread cream cheese on 3 slices of bread.

The bananas were place on the bread next, then covered
with another slice of bread an cut into 3 "sticks"

Then they combined eggs, milk and cinnamon in a bowl.

Then they coated the sticks in the egg mixture. EWWWW GROSSSSSS!

SERIOUSLY, MOM...WHAT IS THAT??

Then Brenden put them in the oven.....

And BON APPETITE!! They were very tasty, even I ate a few!

DISTURBED/SEVENDUST/SKINDRED 2009!!!

Jason and Tyler went to see DISTURBED in concert last night at the Toyota Center in Kennewick. For any of you that DON'T know who they are....they are a hard metal/rock band, and they are AWESOME (if you get the edited versions of their music)!! Skindred opened for them, and then Sevendust (my brother, Joe's, favorite band) played. Jason said they put one heck of a show! Here are some photos of the concert...they are not the best as they were captured by a cell phone, but you get the general idea...

SLEDDING FUN!!

We went sledding two weeks ago with Nikki, Tyler and their family in Moses Lake. There are these awesome sand dunes near their house that are a hot spot for sledding/snowmobiling. Afterwards we had some much needed hot chocolate!!
